はじめに
インターネットで「ビジネス 英語 イディオム」なんて検索すれば数え切れないほどのサイトが出てきますよね。自分もそんな無数にあるサイトから自分が本当に知りたい使える英語イディオムを探すのに苦労していました。
今回はそんな同じように困っている方のため、ビジネス英会話で基礎と考えられるイディオムを20個をまとめてみました。

「A long shot」とは、何かしらか成し遂げようとしている目標が非常に難しい、成功する可能性が低いことを意味します。
「A long shot」のフレーズはバスケットボールなどで遠くからゴールに向けてシュートすることから来ています。

「Steep」(急)を付け加えることで、学習期間が短く内容も多く難しかったと印象付けることができます。

「To go down swinging」はボクシングで、ボロボロの状態で勝つ見込みはなくても、最後の最後までパンチを繰り出して、最後はマットに沈む(倒れる)ところからきています。
